Wrong. If you make a post here thinking that Anet is going to make any big changes to the game, your post is ridiculous.

I don't neccessarily...I do try to tell them why they are wrong though.

When things go wrong we blame Anet. People need to f_____ check themselves.

This is a server problem, and before looking into ways to patch the issue, we want to examine the core problem. But at this moment there is no time on the Server Team's schedule for this. They're really busy with GW2. We would like to fix the issue, and we are looking into the feasibility of this. Just because we say that we're not able to fix it _right now_, doesn't mean we don't know and understand that players are concerned about it, and it doesn't mean we don't want to address it.
Honest answer here Regina.

You, the GMs from Support and everyone I've heard from have said they are aware of syncing, of the why that causes concerns, and that you intend to fix it someday. You say you care, and you take it seriously, and that it's being looked into, etc etc etc. But big thing to notice here: nothing has happened. Syncing has been a problem for ages and ages, nothing happened. Bots have become a problem in RA for months, and yet though I report them every time I see them - including sending tickets to support - nothing has happened either. Champ farming has been occuring for ages and ages, and yet only now does it get addressed (and not even addressed: it's just "we'll look into it if it gets reported" - see what happens with bots, next it'll be "I reviewed the game logs and couldn't find a violation").

Remember the adage, actions speak louder than words? You can say you care, but unless you do something about it, everything simply points to you not caring. Do you want me to search up the oldest thread here on Guru about syncing? What gives? If you really cared about syncing you would've fixed it already. Example: Necro Deathspike - the Shadow Walk + Death Nova game bug that caused heaps of unprottable damage. That was broken, and obviously ANet cared enough about it to fix it ASAP. I'd imagine whoever did the fixing is no less busy than he is now, yet it was done. Nothing has been done about RA syncing.

The way I see it, maybe you care a little, but not enough to actually do something. Whatever is taking up the Server Team's time is more important than fixing syncing in RA, and that ANet doesn't care enough about syncing to fix it. That's what really is the case. Be brave and admit it. It's not ideal, but it's a lot more honest than telling the community 'we care' but not actually caring.

There's another possiblity: synching is the PvP equivalent of the raptor cave or Vaettir farms for PvE. It's a farm that Anet allows and won't "fix". It's unfair (PvP has two human "sides", whereas PvE has only one) but nothing new here, you can go way back on Guru to see this argument being discussed many times.

What puzzles me is this quote from the interview where Regina+Izzy (not sure who's talking and when the interview was made) that they have no intention of doing anything. I'm wondering whether it's a mistranslation or ...

It seems much more likely, to me at least, that it's just not worth fixing. The end result is, what? A bunch of people who take video games way too seriously get a silly database entry that they can display on their character until the servers shut down and a low level arena that was never meant to be a serious PvP area becomes less playable.

I gotta agree with ANET on this one. It would have to be a pretty cheap and easy fix to really be worth their time this far into the game's life cycle.

One thing is clear: let us hope Anet isn't going to make a GW3 after 2 years of GW2, leaving us with the same broken mechanics for years to come, just because they are 'busy' with the next installment.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good thing Anet is working 110% on GW2, just don't forget about GW1. And with the Live Team swamped for the Storage Update for the last 6 months, just who is taking care of GW1? I'm hoping the Live Team will start addressing these issues after the Storage Update, and don't start on another huge project which impacts just a small part of the game.

Ah well, I'm sure this has been posted numerous times already...

Pretty accurate, actually translate to " at this time we do not intend to do anything "

Now, I'm also assuming that the original interview was in English and correctly translated to French.
